Man, I was afraid that I would have forgotten, it has been so long since I cabbed. But, sure enough, it was like riding a bike. I'm a little rusty. (Just like I am on my new bike, come to think of it!) Y'all forgive my absence. I missed you, but just couldn't spend much time on the computer... or cabbing... or making jewelry. Life and illness got in my way. I hate it when that happens! I'm back, though and I have been busy. All of the pictures that I have finished now are the light tent pictures, so the finishes don't look as nice as they are. This was a really big cab that I cut with too much black- I couldn't stand so much black so I cabbed it out and still have a 36mm cab. This should read new material from Mexico, not New Mexican. I don't know how new it actually is, but that's the claim. What you can't see that well is the crackle in this- it really adds a lot to the cab. This is one that I recabbed. My first one- the tiny pits freaked me out, but I guess it can't be avoided. This is WAY nicer in person! It is pretty transparent/translucent in the green. I may post another picture when I get the sunlight pictures taken. I was half way into this cab when the side blew off, so I left one side with the red "bubbles" in the cab and cabbed the rest of it like normal. Didn't photograph well. Thanks for looking, y'all! I'll be trying to catch up on some of your posts. I won't have time to comment on much, but it will be fun to see what everyone is doing.

Really pretty cabs. Wingate is a pain and I always have to resort to some kind of filler for the pits and soft spots in the gold areas but you did that one up real fine. It's my favorite from the lot.....Mel

you sure didn't hold anything back on your return. The Montana is my favorite. That one has a masculine look to me.

I love that Montana Agate. Well all of them, I always check out what you do when you post, such great work.
I am intrugued by that Death Valley Ballarat marble, as a native of Ballarat in Australia its good to see that place names from here made it back to California too, Every Gold town around here has a California Gully.
