interesting. had never heard of howardite, or if I had I don't remember (CRS)... all with fine interesting patterns, very different material, sad about the fractures in the poppy, it is so LOUD! I have heard of people filling fractures with epoxy or crazy glue of some sort( those of you who know the right names please help?) and being able to finish cabs which look like new... is this possible here?

I like the Howardite. Like Howard Hughes, looks like a million dollars!

Howardite is one of my favorite materials. I missed out on my opportunity to get Howardite when it was reasonable, so I don't have very much. I believe the rough is controlled by a few sellers. It is listed on ebay every so often and always goes for a good price. I had two slabs and took the one that had fractures and trimmed the edges to see how it could be cut. It fell apart and I was able to get two cabs from it. The other slab is very solid and I'm reluctant to cut it because it might be worth more as a slab than what I could get from a cab.

Nice set, I especially like the Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper.
