Some fun materials we picked up on a hike the other day....they speak to the volcanic, tectonic torture theses rocks were put thru. Oh yeah, and it turns out the new pup is a rock hound. Climbed right in the bin to give them the thorough once over. Cheers Nice haul! About your rock hound, did he wet them for you? He's certainly a cute little rascal. Hey, I had no idea how many posts you were going to make. Done now? Is this a better location? Lol.

Cool rocks but I'd have to say the rock hound is my favorite of all the pics. Very cute.

thanks snowmom..actually he's a springer - easy to confuse those breeds at this age. thanks grizman - that look is more like, "why did you interrupt me"...when he climbed on in the bin I knew he was a rock hound. cheers

Three things Get em rockpickerforever. That has to be Springer, wife got started in the dog hobby with them. She had one when I met her. Me and the Springer used to play catch. Catch the Springer(Shelby) when she would run by me just out of reach at full speed by diving thru the air with all I had. Dog wore me out. A gamer. Relentless. We had a litter, they looked just like your angel. Wow, that is a cute pup. Those white breccias are like clear jello with chips in them. I hope you post slabs/cabs/tumbles of them. Looks like dynamite shattered them. Montana rough on the rocks.

Looking great, pup and all. The first jasper does look like it got dendrite opal in it?

Your rockhound is adorable, and nice score, bsky4463! In your 5th photo (1st post), the material favors Sheep Creek agate.

Some of that looks a bit like the Spanish Point dendritic agate from north central Wyoming. Really nice find. Jim
