That one needs to be split lengthwise so clamping it will be a challenge. Should be worth the trouble though. Nice one.

With Tony's slab grabber and three grooves cut into it with a rotary and it would be a piece of cake. Should be pecstacular. Jim

cast it in plaster and then vise. I like that idea but do you have a hard time getting your cut in the right spot after? after it is cast you have no sight of the rock anymore correct? Maybe you could cast around 3/4 of it leaving an end visible to align with the blade. Chuck
