Glad that you received some of the famous gem dino bone where they will be cared for and their story will carry on, bhiatt. The cycad is gorgeous, and great pics of it and the dino bone! ROFL @ discussing dino bone in the parking lot while your friends partied. Rick and I saw Gregg Allman play on his birthday at The Moon in Tallahassee back in '97.

ROFL @ discussing dino bone in the parking lot while your friends partied. Rick and I saw Gregg Allman play on his birthday at The Moon in Tallahassee back in '97. \\ Nice! Gregg Allmans son, Devon Allman, lives near St Louis. I live near St Louis. I have seen him play quite a few times over the years. Probably going on 15 years now, no joke. Devon grew up with his mom and step dad, not Greg. Devon is real good. Writes his own music, produces music. Is on top of the blues charts contantly. In these last few years he has started to play more and more with his dad. The Allman Bros. Band called it quits this year. Gregg and his son Devon been playing together. I wouldn't doubt it they do a mini Allman Bros. tour together. Devon looks much like his uncle Duane Allman. Devon worked at Guitar Center in St Charles, MO(near St Louis) with another blues master Mike Zito. Both of them are on top of the blues charts. I use to see him at Grateful Dead cover bands here in St Louis. He would come and sit in after his concerts around St Louis. Now hes touring all over the world. Hes all clean cut now. This is an older photo of Devon. www.google.com/search?q=devon+allman&biw=1303&bih=638&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAmoVChMI7PX9sPiBxwIVwvceCh1oJAni#tbm=isch&q=devon+allman+duane+allman&imgrc=_

I know this is an "older" post and story, but thank you for sharing. I am Ernie's daughter, and the sale of his shop and all of his treasures broke my heart. The cycad that sat on his counter was amazing. I can't tell you how I appreciate that someone else appreciates the beauty of his treasures!!
