My wife bought some special Zinnia seeds this year to grow and harvest seeds for next year, but only a couple came up. She was really unhappy. She started the seeds in a mini greenhouse, but the flowers started coming up between the bean rows in one of our garden boxes. Seemed the bluejays had something to say about where the flowers needed to come up, explaining why so few came up in the starter pots. Starter greenhouse gets a screen door next year.

Lol, birds are something else, aren't they. I have currently some millet growing between my corn that blended in surprisingly well when all the plants were still little! Needless to say, it wasn't me who planted it there.

Dang Oregon climate grows the healthiest plants. Those are healthy. Poor Larry, the animals are getting in your greenhouse. Welcome to the greenhouse world. Critters have it good in there when it is cold outside. Add insects. Fungus. Competing weed seeds.
