The jade is from the Fraser? Or from the Caribous? Nice finds! The purple banded quartz, I never knew people were up for that stuff. A lot of it around where I find the script stone. Same as the schist, I have a few sitting in one of my cabinets I pick up here and there. Your unknowns look pretty interesting, especially that smooth green one. Thanks for sharing them.

Jade came from the Fraser at Prince George. Saw some of the script stone in that river as well, but did not collect it. That I can get around here. The purple banded quartz pieces came primarily from Alberta, but did bring back a few small pieces from BC. There was one river in Alberta full of the stuff so I grabbed a few larger pieces just to play with. The smaller pieces from BC I collected had some really nice patterns in them. I know where there is a ton of schist in Southern California. Started collecting pieces that were nicely river polished first thinking they could make some nice pendants or something. Then decided to bring back some larger pieces that I have some friends who may want to wire wrap. Found some green schist as well that I have only seen one before and a piece of purple schist, which I have never seen that color in schist before.

Really like your Canadian finds, vegasjames. Your banded quartz is cool. Will you keep the BC jade as specimens, or do you have plans for them?

I actually still have a lot more still in Canada at my friend's house. I found about 40# but there are weight restrictions on luggage. I even left my whole wetsuit up there to carry more rock back. Should be going back soon or my friend will drive down the rest in September.
