Bill ( orrum) and I made a trade earlier this summer that included a tumbled unakite cross that I made. I was pleasantly surprised today to see that he had returned it wrapped in copper. Thanks Bill!

Hey you are very welcome Rob. The first cross was lost in the mail so I had to convince Rob to send another. Which he did along with another buck of slabs and stone.
Tela I usually don't put the wrap around the top of the cross, that way you font hide so much of the cross. That is 16 gauge romex building wire. I put the extra wra on in case Rob was going to wear it hounding etc where it would get snatched around.
Glad you liked it Rob cause I love my Unakite!!!

That' goes so nice with the cross . Makes it look timeless, a old world look.

The copper really blends with the forest green and the vein through the middle.

Hey thanks folks! My Hillbilly Wire Twisting class is very popular at the Quartzsite Gem Club. I tell stories that they like and they go home with two pendants at the end of a three hour class. You can't see it but the cross piece after the hook is beaten flat and textured with a ballpeen hammer and a hatchet stuck in a ironwood stump.
