From the whiskey river. Noticed this pure silica coating is really hard and first to polish. Batch was about half bots and half solid coral. Here is the bots
They are all great! But that first one makes me think of this -

James, it is a spider, but I'm willing to bet it has eight eyes. (All the better to see you with, my dear!)

Wowzers. Love looking at those Great shine as well Great job Bill The coral is very hard Bill. The bots appear to be 'overflow' of the silica that must have made the coral silicified. The bots are the first to shine, suggesting very pure hard silica. Curious if silica that causes silicification can vary in composition a lot, betting it does.

pretty cool, can you explain what these are. Never heard of the term "bots". Where does a guy get them?

Those are beautiful, but that first one looks too much like a set of lips with a bad herpes outbreak.

botroidal coral just awesome, each so pleasing to the eye. LOL Jean rockpickerforever! Never would have seen that one.
Jamesp there has got to be a way to make pendants out of these, too pretty to be put in a jar or on a shelf, they need to be shown!
could your spouse make lights out of them somehow and use them as bobs for a freaking cool nature chandelier?

Can not feed my wife any limelight. No way, she will shadow me as usual. And then rub it in, unlike me.
