botroidal coral just awesome, each so pleasing to the eye. LOL Jean rockpickerforever! Never would have seen that one. Jamesp there has got to be a way to make pendants out of these, too pretty to be put in a jar or on a shelf, they need to be shown! could your spouse make lights out of them somehow and use them as bobs for a freaking cool nature chandelier? Can not feed my wife any limelight. No way, she will shadow me as usual. And then rub it in, unlike me. hmmm, OK then, you make one and out shine her! you know you want to....

pretty cool, can you explain what these are. Never heard of the term "bots". Where does a guy get them? I don't know where else botryoidal sheets like these occur toiv0. They are in limited spots on a section of one small river. Strange formations not really common in nature. I have focused collecting them recently for tumbling. Just a peculiar rock.

Whiskey river? Where dat be? Close to captbob You mean up by Port Richey / New Port Richey? I can be there in a hour. Prolly need to wait for the flood waters to subside. It's not the Mississippi, but it is does cover some miles... what are your GPS coordinates gonna cost me? Oh yeah - I don't have a GPS. *harumph*

Strange, the Withlacoochee in S Georgia is about to dry up. 'Withlacoochee' def noun native man's word for whiskey-not, sounds good though Caught the pinky comment. Am very cautious about calling a meteor a meteorite around certain royalty. Apparently a pet peeve in some kingdoms.

captbob I'd align the map of the whiskey river with the map showing the yellow elevations that Jim says is the correct elevation for corals. Then go there and get whet!
