OK fourth try to post this *L* Got another 20+ pound box of Rios, larger stuff this time. A couple might work on a ten inch saw but the rest will probably require larger. Good mix of colors and patterns. Again $63 delivered in the US and first Pm gets it. Thanks.....Mel Lot pic and some closer shots: Big red ad white mossy one: Two of these, mixed red gold and orange moss: Mixed color moss and a white poppy on gold moss: And I think this may be the best of the bunch. About a five inch red and gold swirls with little orbs and some fortifications.

Folgers, I've been watching for sphere sized Rios for several people but it seems Rios in that size range are not to be found. I am assuming a six inch sphere stone would have to be larger than six inches in every direction to accommodate the reduction to a sphere preform. I do have at east one big Rio in that range but for some reason the ones that big seem to be just the more common gold colored moss with white spots. I'll keep looking though. Going down myself for a hunt this fall and hope to look for more palm, sphere sized Rios and colorful wood....Mel

The gravel pit near L Falcon separates highway gravel from large cobbles. There was a small mountain of caliche coated large cobbles pushed off to the side. Rejects basically. The conveying operation cleans the smaller target size gravel. And it has a high percent fine agate. Will bring some water and a scrub brush to clean a window on the big cobbles on the next trip. And yes, a lot of the big cobbles found in the field were yellow/brown with white specked moss like agate. Captivating place to rock hunt.
