I got home from work today and found a box from Jugglerguy waiting for me. It was some of his recent Lake superior finds and has no positive I.D. yet. After cabbing it I would lean towards a nice hard rhyolite. This was the tumble size piece I used pretty much just sliced off an end and started grinding Thanks for looking Chuck

Holy cow, that was quick! That looks great! Thanks Rob. Pretty easy to work with. Cool patterns and copper was an easy choice. I did find that it kind of broke off at the pattern lines while trimming and even had a small chunk let loose on the 80 wheel. I'll have to try another to see if that is common. did you ever cab any or just tumble? Chuck

I have a fair amount rough tumbled right now. I'm waiting to get a Lot-O barrel full. I thInk I only made one circular cab. When tumbling it, some pieces were very solid and others had planes that were soft or cracked. I'd say about half is nice and solid.

That's nice stuff Rob! Great job Chuvk and wrapped it to! Thanks Bill. This stuff has the colors of walnut and oak wood and kind of has some patterns like a picture jasper. I think it has a masculine look to it. Chuck

Great material, fabulous capture and super clean wrap!! I love that material. It kinda reminds me of some stuff I had called mahogany jasper.

Nice wrap. I like the tidy bale. I always like the groove wraps because they let the rocks be the focus. Where do you buy your square copper wire? What gauge are you using - 20g?

My groove wraps are done with 20G square. I get my square copper from Rio Grande and my round and half round from www.wirejewelry.com/jewelry-wire-1.htmlChuck
