About a month ago I decided to try to sharpen up my saw blade by cutting obsidian and the best deal that I could find was at R & B Rockshop, so I dropped roy a line and he hooked me up. The package shipped and upon arrival to Portland it went into the USPS Blackhole. I was really busy at the time so there was no rush but roy was already looking into the problem and got a second box ready just in case. Well, the updates from the USPS never came and the package never arrived. So roy shipped box number two and opened a case with the USPS. The tracking on the second package seemed to progress as normal and I was excited when the USPS told me that it was ready for pickup. Now usually there is a little key in my p.o. box and I can get my packages out of a locker and go about my business. But this time there was a card that meant I had to stand in the really long slow line and wait. The card read "Too big for your box." I thought, "Well, what the hell did roy send?" I found out why it was too big. Box number two had also been destroyed by the USPS but I guess they figured they would try to salvage this one.... The remains of box #2 The USPS's replacement container. Some great obsidian from royCant tell in this pic but there is a sweet Rainbow in this one waiting to be let loose! roy also threw in some extras for my "trouble". I'm sure many of you know already, but roy is a Class Act and I totally recommend his business. He will take care of you!! ~Roland

I wouldn't doubt somebody at the post office grabbed a piece of Rainbow if they knew anything about it ! You would think an organization with that much experience shipping would have a better approach than to destroy one box after another! Hell, if you cant ship up to 70 lbs in the damn box then stop telling people that you can! Ok, I'm getting heated up here! So don't send me anymore roy, cuz then my wife will crack me over the head with one of those pieces. somebody (hint orrum) should be planning the next Idaho/Oregon RTH gathering!! ~Roland

Hey Roland it will be Succor Creek Campground in April of 2016. I luv that campground. Probably the second week or so. This is dependant on getting Tony and Roy on board as guides. I wanna go to the Original Gem Owhyee claim again so bad!!! Also the Monarch, Cripple Creek, and the Wild Horse. Plus we didna get to the Graveyard Point Plume or manly others!!! We will firm this up ok folks??? Final planning at Tonys BBQ in Quartzsite!!!

I still have a box that has been lost for 5 months now... I always tell people to wrap it very good with fiber tape. When I ship (to the lower 48 or elseware) people always tell me its hard to get into the boxes... but If I didn't do it how I do with fiber, it would never make it.
Lots of people don't believe me when I get boxes like that because they never had it happen before.

It was pretty dicey with the gumbo mud, pretty miraculous that we didn't get totally washed out. Plus my clubs show is in April and I think I'm the dealer chair now so they won't let me leave.
