Howdy, i am new to the forum and felt like I should properly introduce myself ! My name is Eric and i currently live in Columbia River Gorge, WA state. I love to go rockhounding and whitewater kayaking preferably combined! I have been collecting agates, jasper, petrified wood, opal and thundereggs all over the northwest since this winter.
I just got a decent sized rock tumbler and loaded that sucker up with water worn agates, jasper ,wood and river tumbled thunderegg cores! I'm 4 days in and I'm sure I will have lots of questions in the near future:/ I'm super into it and am really hoping to get some good results!
This forum is an awesome resource to learn and stay entertained. Much appreciated

Bring it on petrified !! Kayakers get to find the unfound. Rivers are the last frontier, freedom from the regulators. Damn the regulators !!

I'm just taking my first steps into lapidary now, I got a tumbler and just bartered some labor for an auto feed slab saw and diamond pacific grinder/polisher=) I'll post a photo of the tumbler to see what yall think once I figure out how. Welcome, I am four hours north of you! My son lives down in Carson so I am anxious to visit the granddaughters and of course look for some rocks.

Thanks! Yup good hobbies, someday I want to kayak or raft the Yellowstone river and load the boat full of moss agates? Nice, Carson is sweet and the Upper Wind is one of my favorites anywhere. Have you ever checked out any of the tributaries of the Upper Upper Wind?
