Wow that's a nice one!!!!! Love how the edging compliments the stone so well!!!!!!! Excellent work! How hard was it to do the hammering?

Wow that's a nice one!!!!! Love how the edging compliments the stone so well!!!!!!! Excellent work! How hard was it to do the hammering? Thanks Cathy for the kudos and no it's not hard to do......It is actually very easy. I ground the opposite end, from the face, of a small cheap riveting hammer. I ground almost a sharp keen vee shape on the small end. After grinding I did a extremely light sanding job on the sharp edge. I have found out it is best, for me, to complete the fabrication and polishing then hammer the perimeter edges then solder the rings on in this case. I have completed another similar pendant basically the same and will be creating a new posting this afternoon. It has an embossed base plate. When I do this hammering effect I'm using heavier silver stock. I normally use 22gauge but use 20gauge when hammering edges. 39don

The hammered edge really does compliment the plume, nice work. I look forward to seeing the follow up piece. Cheers

I didn't see this until now. That looks great. The hammered look works well for that cab. Great job.
