Ack! Tried to post this about six hours ago, BEFORE the eclipse. Never tried to post from my wannabe cell phone (on WiFi only). Wasn't happening, urgh.
Like I always say, better late than never!
Dang, there was another song I was going to post, can't remember (CRS) what it was now.
San Diego was forecast to have low clouds and fog (the usual) along the coast, but we lucked out. Spent the morning at my dad's house, about five miles from the coast. The sky cleared before the eclipse started, with only an occasional cloud passing by. Had I stayed home (15 miles inland), the sun was out early, no problem for viewing.
Fun viewing it with my dad, probably a first. He would've been at work during any eclipses I viewed as a child. Dad made a pinhole camera out of a tube of cardboard, and also a simple one using two flat pieces of cardboard. Simple to make, effective. Did not need a tinfoil hat, lol. On the news this morning, they were telling people how to make a viewing apparatus out of a pizza box. They said if poking a hole was too much work, to go into the kitchen and grab your mom's colander, lol. Was thinking about that when I saw Rockoonz 's photo of the many images beneath the neighbor's Walnut tree. How many images would you get from a colander?
My condolences to all those stuck in traffic, trying to get out of Dodge. Hope you all got the satisfaction of viewing it.

Discovered this today, my current favorite. In 1971 the Isley Brothers made the album Givin it Back. Some amazing covers of rock songs

Probably don't have very many fans of Brand New here but I'm a huge fan - I've seen them in concert at a small venue up close and personal.
It's been eight years since their last album then without even knowing it's coming ... bam! Their new release Science Fiction is just bad to the bone.
