uuuuuummmmmmmm.... i meant lift the needle on to the licorice pizza Somebody mention placing needle onto licorice pizza.........?
I also do that quite often..:
Just the ones I listen to mostly (vintage 1969 thru 1985)......Have two more crates just like these stashed away in a closet (kids inheritance)
The Rack I used to gig with.....now just play back
The Marantz pushes 200w through these old EPI's.....both 1978 circa
Only crank it when no one is home and I'm feeling the need for concert level flashbacks.........lol

This because I am feeling a little schizo. No, really. I like this.

I need a good stiff drink in a dive with a dirt floor. Just like the good old Red Baron that should have been declared a landmark but instead the city tore it down. I miss that place.

Counterpoint to Linda Ronstadt Discovered this and many things hard rock and thrash when I was in grad school, hanging out with a couple of crazy mechanical engineers. (I was predominantly into blues at the time.) Saw them in El Paso in '94. Amazing show.

BTW, if any of you didn't see the movie "Florence Foster Jenkins" movie (Hugh Grant, Meryl Streep) a couple of summers ago, stream, buy or rent it. Actually turned out to be a much sweeter story than I expected.

I like a lot of AC/DC's stuff. Here are some..."alternate" versions of Thunderstruck. All worthwhile. Because flame-throwing bagpipes: These guys are classically trained cellists who focus almost exclusively on rock standards. Watch for the little headbanger girl. Finnish bluegrass-style cover. Love the wrench on the anvil.

Here's a quite popular French artist. These are from her first album, released when she was 19. If you listen you'll most likely recognize two very strong rock influences. Saw her in a small venue in Marseille in 2011. Amazing show.
Have a little patience with this one. It starts out melodic and contemplative, and about half way through she just burns it to the ground.

arghvark I used to cover the Seattle grunge version of the first song in my relatively short time as a drummer in a cover band. The groove is definitely um, heavily influenced.

They also did a song about where I grew up, one of them must have lived there...
