Anyone enjoy Kiss and Ace Frehley? amygdule, this thread is gettin' outtahand. Have you seen Dee Snider of Twisted Sister in the horror movie, "Strangeland?" He plays "Captain Howdy," which is the name of one of their songs. I've seen some of Rob Zombie's (White Zombie) horror flicks, too. Weird. ROFL! Mohs scale 11 fer real, mohs™! Rick saw Kiss in concert. Ace the Space Man "Shock Me" (ETA: oops, wrong vid posted) I love all the tunes on Ace's solo album for Kiss. Ace Frehley "I'm in Need of Love" Please bring the noise, y'all!!

My favorite Big Bopper song, and particularly liked this presentation on the Dick Clark Show. He is so animated! For jamesp (aka Mr. Hollywood): And can't forget this Lou Reed song (with long intro) Dave, Tela and Jan, you're coming up with some great ones! I'll dredge up more later. Jean PS - Tell me when you want me to quit... NEVER Quit! You have great taste!

1dave said "NEVER Quit! You have great taste!"
Dave, thanks for the compliment! Now you're really asking for it. And I really love the Alley Oop, great selection.
I acquiesce that my tastes in music are nowhere near as eclectic as rockjunquie 's or gingerkid 's, lol. I cannot abide (c)rap, and this is pretty much the only heavy metal I listen to:
I have been remiss, did not post a single song yesterday. So here's a few more to make up for it.
Next, a bit of Little Feat. I like the beat/counter beat in this one.
And how 'bout a couple of mildly suggestive ones. We're all adults here, right? These are all played regularly over the air waves. More Little Feat.
Aerosmith
And some Ted Nugent. This guy is def crazy!
You know I'll be back. Jean

rockpickerforever I like your Metal picks. I would add I always thought the Ted Monster sang that... WRONG! LOVE this song. One of my top picks. 1dave Art Garfunkel has the most angelic voice. I loved to watch this one video of him in 1981 Central Park singing Bridge Over Troubled Water, it brought tears to my eyes every time. It has been taken down. Here is another, but someone put lyrics up and hid his face in many shots. To really appreciate his perfection you have to see him sing it. gingerkid I saw Kiss before they were big. Jacksonville Coliseum. They were backing Styx. It was my first concert. They BLEW ME AWAY!!!!

I agree Jean. I call a lot of that stuff "Desperation Racket" - trying to prove they are still alive.
My favorite Western Story Teller is Marty Robbins:

mohs Werewolves of London was good, too. He died too young. Since we are slowing it down a little. Here's one that always reminds me of my Mom. No, her name wasn't Brandi. She was born and raised in a fishing town, though. Once when I was young and we were fishing while visiting Mom's parents on the Island, My Dad, brother and I happened upon a fisherman. He was a huge guy, haggard, strong, good looking. He grabbed my dad in a bear hug. Baffled, us kids stood just there. After a few minutes of chat we walked away. Dad told us with a grin that that was the man that he stolen Mom from. I'll always remember that grin. This song reminds me of it.

rockjunquie and rockpickerforever, Ted Nugent was the first concert I attended. Wild! Saw Hagar in concert when he replaced David Lee Roth in Van Halen. Hagar's album Standing Hampton is one of my faves. Here's something a little different. I'm really excited and anxious about Wise Dan's return to racing on Sept. 13 in the Ricoh Woodbine Mile (Canada)! I hope he has a safe trip and wins so he may enter the BC Mile. rockpickerforever, bushmanbilly, and snowmom, found a couple of fan videos on Wise Dan and Zenyatta that I thought y'all might enjoy. This one is Iron Man by Black Sabbath changed to Wise Dan, and the fan sings. Iron Man by Black Sabbath changed to Wise Dan by Wise Dan fan A couple wrote a song for the great race mare, Zenyatta. I like this song (the neighs at the beginning, lol)! This is Zenyatta smoking the boys in the 2009 Breeders Cup Classic. The Queen Dances (and yes, Zenyatta can cut some dance moves) by The Hills of Malibu "Faster than a yellow racer Truer than a level laser All the boys can do is chase her Smarter ones don't want to face... Zenyatta Zenyatta She's laying back and building steam You pinch yourself it's not a dream It's Zenyatta Oh, Zenyatta Well, she hasn't made her move yet Hasn't even broke a sweat
Now she's picking up the pace It's how she does it every raceZenyatta Zenyatta She passes horses with a glance She wants to do her victory dance 'Cause she's Zenyatta Oh, Zenyatta Comin' to the backstretch Makin' everybody itch Movin' to the outside Come on jockey, ride, ride, ride You're on Zenyatta The camera's flashing when you win 20 and 0, you're the best that's ever been Zenyatta Yeah, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, Zenyatta Go, go, go, go, go, Zenyatta Go, go, go go, go, Zenyatta"
