rockpickerforeverI go over a very short list of Dylan's songs; Tangled up in Blue Hard Rain gonna fall Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues again Desolation Row Shelter from the Storm Just like a Woman Subterranean Homesick Bluesetc, etc.... One realizes they are in the presence of genius. The same feeling I got watching Willie Mays play baseball in person several times. Best 5 - Tool player that ever set foot on the Baseball diamond!

Tangled up in Blue the first one I think of. Also Don't Think Twice It's Alright, Lay Lady Lay and Mr. Tambourine Man. And he wrote "Quinn the Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn)" but it was Manfred Mann that popularized it.

Wanna hear something funny? I love Dylan- as a poet. I absolutely HATE his voice, though. It grates on my nerves, but I love and respect the guy. My brother is and my late mother was a die hard fan.

rockjunquieFor me, his voice fits his songs, could not imagine another classical singer singing his songs unless it was Joan Baez with "Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts". As Don McLean sang in American Pie; When the jester sang for the king and queen In a coat he borrowed from James Dean And a voice that came from you and me

Go figure. I can tolerate Dylan's voice much more now that I am older, but not for long.

I was surprised that when I went through the thread, I didn't see this. Maybe it was one of the deleted vids...or I'm blind.
