Weird accidents:
One day long ago now, a radio station DJ somewhere accidentally spun Imaginary Lover by The Atlanta Rhythm Section at 45 RPM instead of the 33 1/3 the vinyl LP was supposed to be played at, and then the crew in the radio station was so amazed (probably stoned too) at what they heard they just decided to let it roll. The reaction from those listening on the airwaves was instant and unforgettable! Everyone thought they were hearing Fleetwood Mac cover the song. Well, the word traveled fast, even right to Fleetowood Mac themselves, and legend has it (actually pretty well known to have really happened) non other than Stevie Nicks herself slipped this gem in to a group of demos for the album Tusk. Just as a joke, for some giggles. The guys who made up The Atlanta Rhythm Section didn’t find it as amusing as most people did.
