Some knucklehead singing an Elvis cover... Nice try Jase but you need to be a little more animated - gyrate like Elvis. Make a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Nah...I didn't want to impersonate him. That being said...no matter what...when I sing an Elvis song, there's always a bit of his "twang" that creeps in! LOL Some knucklehead singing an Elvis cover... Dang Jason, you gave me goose bumps. Good job! Awww...thanks Tela! Now if I could just figure out how to do The Sound of Silence like Disturbed, I'd be happy!! *Of course...my wife would just be happy with the sound of silence from me...most days! LOL

I'm glad you're not Lost... The wife and I were watching the Masters golf tournament this past Sunday and noticed, no cell phones. They are not allowed at the tournament. What a refreshing idea. The spectators had to actually watch what was going on. ...." and the people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made".... Those words ring true even louder these days.

HankRocks rockjunquie There’s a couple of landline phone banks out on the course for the proles . . . AT&T, a tournament sponsor, covers the bill for calls worldwide from Augusta’s phone banks.

I'm glad you're not Lost... Oh my gosh 'Dule! That was heart-wrenching...and so very true. That's an amazing video. The wife and I were watching the Masters golf tournament this past Sunday and noticed, no cell phones. They are not allowed at the tournament. What a refreshing idea. Does anybody remember having fun before the internet and smart phones ? Yes...yes I do. I also remember the time when I had a dime taped to the inside of my backpack...in case I ever had to call home...on a payphone. I also remember when the cost went to a quarter! I remember having an Encyclopedia Britannica...that was my "Google" back in the day.

We were encouraged to look things up in our many, many reference books and if we couldn't find the answers, then Mom surely knew.
Somewhere around here, I have a certificate for completing a phone etiquette course in elem school. DH got one, too.

We had World Gook Encyclopedia. I wore out the reptile and amphibian sections. A lot of the pics were credited to Hal Harrison. Every other year or so my high school would have an assembly and Hal would provide a slide show of his most recent trip to wherever. Kinda like a Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom roadshow.

Living in the southeast I consider myself fortunate to have seen Dickey Betts with the Allman Brothers a few times during the early years when they toured some of the smaller venues. RIP Dickey

The Boathouse is legendary. I have seen so many great acts there. They built a ball field and the Amtrak station right next to where it was. Whenever we pick up my granddaughter, I see what's left and get nostalgic.
I'd rather have the boathouse than a casino. Just sayin'.

Charlie Daniels Band - The South's Gonna Do It Again
"Well the train to Grinder's Switch is runnin' right on time And the Tucker boys are cookin' down in Caroline People down in Florida can't be still When ol' Lynyrd Skynyrd's pickin' down in Jacksonville People down in Georgia come from near and far
To hear Dicky Betts pickin' on that red guitar"
