This 1.5 acre patch was cleared w/heavy equipment in 2000. Bamboo planted same year. Second photo shows growth as of 2005 even with edges being maintained with large mower.   Surrounding trees pretty much keep it in check, winter, 2015:  |

Was the photo done with a drone? Aerial(airplane) high def every 2-5 years riverrock. Contracted by Fulton county for one main reason, to keep a close eye on un-permitted construction, wetland disturbance etc. They pretty much leave the AG guys alone on buildings. Very fair. |

Do you harvest it? If so, how often? Harvest irregular. when a movie comes up they often need it(Fled). Event centers get poles to build Tiki huts for parties. And I used to dig plants and transfer them to 40 gallon pots to grow out for 2 years. Got 30 different varieties. 40 gal pot= $200 ea. Wrists too sore to dig so much nowadays, so quit. Most of the pole harvest is done on other properties that want to get rid or curb it. Have torn down overhead phone lines in old days when delivering full load of potted bamboo. Plants standing up and 20 feet tall, 16-18 pots/load. Sunday only delivery- when the police force is not so active. Too fun. |

Bulldozer(Cat 953) coming out to triple size of this grove. Knocking trees out to left of above grove.
Speculating for film props.
