Ha ha to both of you! Actually, I say "chickie-chickie-chickie" when I see it. Took some lay mash in my hand one time (no one feeds it, it "lives off the land"), thought I might get it to trust me. She wanted nothing to do with me, and took off a-running! The people whose yards she frequents get free bug removal service. Then again, she leaves them things in return... And I'm not just talking eggs!
(Smiling as I type this!)

Listening to my music. Reading happy birthday wishes from my RTH family! Knowing I won't be going out on a half day boat soon, for at least another ten years Would you REALLY want US to wish you happy birthday every day? as for My Music, I agree! Oh, It is Halloween!

Here is one that I saw on FB recently that I really liked:

Saw the darn free range chicken (that inspired this thread) again this morning (smiles!)
Thought of another one - Dogs riding in cars. Now that always elicits a smile from. It's got to be that they are just so happy. I know, sticking their heads out the car window can be hazardous (ear problems, debris in eyes, etc.), but heck, they are enjoying it to the maximus! I think the risk is negligible, compared to extreme payout of happiness.
Oh, and I also smile when I see horses in trailers on the road, knowing that they get to go have some fun. (Boring staying in a stall or barn all the time, that's the life of most horses here in the county.) They might not get the wind in their faces, but they get to go have an adventure!

On a warm summer day when kids stop playing ball as they seen me ride by and make the universal sign for wheelie. What makes me smile, is their reaction when I honor the request. The smile goes thermonuclear if the tail drags the ground.

The smell of woodsmoke in the air on a cold morning. Not too much, just a little (the smoke and the cold, lol). Some nice clean burning oak, maybe.
Brings back memories and makes me smile. Reminds me of time spent in Alabama a long time ago. Remembering the wispy, grey fingers of smoke, hanging suspended in the still cool morning air of the hollers. (Shivers...)

Lots of things make me smile. But since free-range chickens have been mentioned, this Geico commercial always gets a chuckle from me no matter how often I see it: www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=geico+free+range+chicken+commercialI like the one about the golf course Kraken hazard too -- I don't have a link but it's easy to Google.

I love that commercial! But that chicken needs to learn something about framing his selfies. You never center the eyes in your photos. I know a lot of people that do that, lol.
The Kraken commercial -
That's a good one, too.

What makes me smile "Family" especially our grandkids...I am called the animated "Grandpa" in our bunch.. I never let our Grandkids set in front of the TV,computers or etc, while I'm around...They love it... wears me out too,but I love it just as much!!! I don't care where I'm at or what I'm doing,my kids and grandkids were always welcome to join me..feeding the "gulls",help drive the car..working in my shop,cooking,baking,etc,etc.. Always take the grandkids fishing-always... I worked on a cattle and sheep ranch in ND..Took my granddaughter Amy there once, she is a city kid, never seen or been on a ranch or farm... She didn't want to leave...LOL She loved the lambs.. Kids love making pizza with me..They get all messy and not in trouble for it...Clean them up and eat... Bakers and testers...
