Sounds like heaven, can I come too? A tree trimmer does come in handy sometimes You would retire to Atlanta? Most likely not but I would love the off grid part. I like the western US too much to go that far east.

drocknut Diane, I am a candy. I bought a newer lite weight 3 cu.in. Husky. They are now full of plastic and not heavy. Got big saws like the one I saw you yielding, but no longer interested in slinging them all day. You understand, 100's of less than 6 inch trees. James, still trying to puzzle this one out... Did you mean to say you are a "candy ass?" That's okay, sugar. Slinging chainsaws ain't for the older set.

Since I get cold and bored over the winters this project fits right in for 'stay warm' activity rockpickerforever. I have to say that that little saw took a lot of the hard work out of the picture.

You do not have a permanent address, pay an electric or water bill, or property taxes. Excuse my ignorance, but isn't that what living off the grid means??? LOL!

Lol, well sort of although I consider myself more of a gypsy than someone living off the grid. I think of off grid as having land to live on, grow your own food, not being dependant on the electric or water company, and generally being more self relient.
