Arctic low pressure system should start pushing its way on you, fall temps have set in and more snow in the rockies. Temps should start to cool down somewhat for some of you.

I've got some friends that have had to evacuate, and one of my favorite places, Harbin Hot Springs, burned down. That, plus the Kings Canyon fire that's threatening the giant sequoias and one of the best hang gliding sites in the area, and it's been a bad year for fires.

I live in the SF Bay Area, not directly in the fire danger zone, but close enough to know folks who are being affected.
