Thanks Bernard and Lisa 42" w/cover Atlanta P/U Thanks Lacey 42" Normal, Illinois Thanks Aime 30" Sarasota, Florida And two more that were picked up at the farm this week. And a second one scheduled to a pub in Charlotte(Sycamore Brewing). Work in progress started yesterday. 42" with swing on/out grill. Probably add a swing on/out stew pot holder. For cooking plunders of visiting deer hunters this season. Or grocery food if they are losers (LLL club). Wife's Jimmy Hendrix coleus plants growing in a fire pit.

Good deal on the sales.
Like that pot holder. How much weight you comfortable with it holding?
Maybe a grill like grate to fit on it so you could toss your steaks right on or set a pot to boil would be handy?

The round thing is a dedicated grill w/yet-to-be-installed grate for direct grilling. It only rotates on a 1/2 inch axle. I usually use a heavy one inch axle. One inch a bit over kill for the grill. i do collards and the wife cusses about the smell, so the pot holder has to happen. The swing out pot holder always gets a one inch axle. More weight...Here is a 36 inch pit at Florida camp w/grill and pot holder. Sorry about the drunk photo. Are you suggesting a grate(mesh) for the round thing like the Florida pit below ? [quote author=" jamesp" source="/post/827455/thread" timestamp="1442686316Are you suggesting a grate(mesh) for the round thing like the Florida pit below ?[/quote] Kinda. Like what you would cook on with a Weber kettle style grill. Could cook on it or set a pot on it. I figured the swingable ring was to hold something like a dutch oven type stew pot. Pot would sit down in the ring. The wire grill rack would add options to cooking. Is that grate you have pictured, cleanable for throwing the steaks on or does it rust? Looks like you already have the bases covered!

Went with 1/2 inch mesh pea gravel sifting screen. A woven product. It is smooth on the spatula and small enough to do fish. Went with the rim up to keep the weiners from rolling off. And something to push the goods up against when scooping. A cold handle to swing the grill, and reinforcing braces to steady it. Removable for straight fire pit duty. Then went and harassed my beloved Jamaican friends at 'The Fox Hole'(Clifton's Jamaican Cuisine). Jason Bateman/Melissa McCarthy in Identity Thief scene filmed there. Jerk chicken/callalo/plantains/baens and rice, yum My Sista My Mamma, bestest cook on planet The Gangstas Old 50's style dance floor, hard partying bunch From stage Building

That restaurant sounds awesome, James. Dang ... Love the firepits. Yes Paul. I was there early before things get cranked up. When you walk in there you are family. very respectful. I always get callalo, a Jamaican green, to go. I tell them I steal their callalo from the patch behind the building. They suggest I don't get caught. Now if you want to cause trouble, they have an answer for that too. The one on the end of the bar is the owner. Long tour of combat duty, and a 9mm his on his belt. He is a wily fellow. I feel very safe there.

Welded the one inch water pipe in to hold the one inch solid shaft to mount the Dutch Oven swing on/out to.

Am cheapest Jean, but easier welding than I am used to. Happy with the end pay. Cheat using a lazy susan too, helps make it easy. Started buying some peripherals on Ebay, just marking them up 30-40%. Helping sales a lot. Amazing how cheap stuff is there and add shipping right to shop.
