I was so focused on choosing the best rocks for the World Rock Tumbling Championship that I forgot to take a picture of my best five. So here are my rejected contest rocks. Some of the mahogany ones had white specks on them. It seemed to be part of the rock. I don't think they were flaws in the rock, but I didn't sent any of those in. Congratulations on the win, meviva!

Those look great Rob I thought for sure you would make the top three. I had the same issue with the white spots on some of the mahogany. What type did you send in? Just looking at the photos posted here so far I cant imagine the judges having to look at 40 entries that all look so good?

I sent in a variety. I really liked the other mahogany that had more black in it. I focused on good rocks first and variety second. I had a lot of rocks that had one little hairline fracture somewhere. They were not visible with my 47 year old naked eyes, but I could see them through a 10x magnifier. Many times, there would be one in a whole rock and they were tiny. I don't think I sent any in though.

Nice job on those rejects. They may need counseling so they don't develop a "complex" or something.
Actually they look great.
