Interesting color, do yu know where it is from? Any cell structure? No sir, I'm thinking the Prineville area, that's where he hounds in eastern Oregon....The rings are dull,but should "POP" when the polish goes on...

Don't want this thread to get too far down the list. Had to move stuff around my shop and this large chunk of Elm from Stinking water came to the surface.

The large chunks of Petrified Wood are impressive but the small paperweight sizes have their own beauty. This small piece of Stinking Water Oak was sitting in my scrap pile, so I polished it up today. It is about 2 1/2" across and 4 or so high.

That piece looks like you could throw it i the wood pile and people would think it was wood to burn.... NICE!!!

Agatized pet wood. One of my favorite finds. Has specs of common opal inside.

Started the cutting process on this soft ball size piece of Pet wood. May study it a day or two to decide what I want to do. Indecision is the key to flexibility.

I promised a gal at the medical office I use a piece of Petrified wood. This was laying around so I polished it up today.
