Was wondering where you have been. I hope the garnet tumble did not tie up your tumblers; they don't tumble very fast. You may have some with stars, the are from Emerald Creek, Idaho and known for asterism. Job well done. Curious how you did them, barrel size/tumbler type/how long etc. All of them real nice Ian. They have the closest bands. I like to ask how long it take's to collect, are they few and far, or common ? Favorite Scottish agates #1-7 and this one, but all fine:

Not scientific but I included a few tablespoons in each 3lb barrel with rough agates making up the rest of the load. 80 grit tumbled for a week at a time as usual. Tumbled them for possibly a month. Until I had some agates to move into the Lot-O. When the garnets looked smoothed off, I just put them into the Lot-O too. Then, when I had enough rocks in the Lot-O I did my usual week run to finish. I noticed these with their weight were slowing down the other rocks in the Lot-o but they still all shined up well. I wouldn't put more than say 10% of your total Lot-O load weight in garnets or it might slow too much. I've only done one run though so who knows! Ian

Awesome as usual, Ian. Some Lake Superior agates are shadow agates too. My favorite is the second to last pink one.

Those are awesome Ian. It's hard to pick a favorite. I do really like the second one and the one with green and pink.

I know, it seems like "everyone" gets one of my WOWWWZERS, but that's not my fault...blame it on yourselves! Ian, that group still deserves their own "WOWWWZERS".

Another great presentation of outstanding material, thanks for the show. My wife and I always enjoy "Ian's show" evening. The garnets made a nice background too.
