My son and I have been doing a lot of squirrel hunting lately. We're no dummies though, we don't let 'em go.

We have a soft spot in our hearts for one particular squirrel. "Sprinkles" lives indoors, has his own palace, sleeps curled up in an old wool cap, is handfed since he had a stroke and cannot hold food, is totally blind, and mostly deaf. Very tame, and loves to curl up on a lap and be petted. Not ours (no way!). Daughter's.

When I was in college, there was a fox squirrel that would come into our apartment and sit next to me on the coach while I fed it sunflower seeds. We named it Daisy.

Feels good to have little furry friends. Though I don't have the same warm, fuzzy feeling for the growing garden spider that I see every time I go out back. You know, those with the brown and yellow striped legs.

You were lucky you didn't have big problems with that, Rob. I guess it depends on whether it was a football, wrestling, or pilates coach as to what happened when you got up off of him...your face *does* look a little distorted in your avatar so I'm wagering football or wrestling. <grin>

Except for being blind and deaf, and lacking hand coordination, he seems to be fine. Scampers around the house; seems to have a wonderful time. All chair legs etc have been padded because he kept running into them. Mobility very good.

Never would have thought about a stroke Pat. Seem to active and fit for such.

Maggot had the exact same look on her face as my sister's cat did on Monday, when she (the cat, not my sister) had a baby lizard in her mouth, brought it into the house, and then it got away. Oops! Was returned to the out-of-doors, and safely released (apparently) unharmed. Glad that cat lives with her (my sister), and not with me and my lizards!

Had a cat that darn near ate every lizard on the farm rockpickerforever Jean. Glad to see it gone. Allegheny ants moved in and the fence lizards stand in their trails and the ants all but walk into their mouth. FAT lizards now. If I had a reptile farm I would never have to feed them. Lay a black pipe on the ground and they walk thru it, attracted by heat. Piped ants, could have horned lizards galore, ants piped into their cages. Animals get proud of those catches.

You didn't pick up on it either, didja James? No. Not till I saw Ed's post. Rob fixed it. Anytime you have a squirrel in a dorm wording must be precise.
