rockpickerforever- Those old Sears saws are made for men 300 pounds and bigger. Got a ton of grunt and big chain. Neighbor has one for cutting fallen tree trunks. Saw dust to knees. Them are hosses. It is a bomber, HEAVY! It has a wider chain, very hard, if not impossible, to get anymore. Found a place online that could sell me a length and we could get one made up, but he said it would be expensive. Don't know if he quoted a price, if he did, I don't remember (imagine that!).
More of a "set it on the shelf and admire it for its antique value" sort of thing. Or a doorstop... a large paperweight... It's in pretty good shape, but does have some minor carburetor issues. Guess what? Ya can't find parts for them no more, either.
Mostly use a small Echo saw, maybe an 18 inch blade.

Good news, the spider survived my tree cutting. Shotgunner sent me a picture today and she is now hanging out on the house. Maybe she figured I would not cut down the house so it is safe there. She has chosen to make her new web 6" off my kitchen window. She had a meal today and looks fatter than ever. Eggs coming soon. Thanks Diane, my dear, for posting image for me, time is a four letter word!!
I coulda told you she wasn't going to leave! You can't get rid of those things if you try. Kinda like an old penny. They'll just move along to the next available spot - between two trees, or house and tree, and build a new web right at face level.

I was just hoping I hadn't dropped a chunk of tree on her and squished her. She seems to be providing Scott with some entertainment so that's good.
