That's amazing Tela. You should go to the desert area of Arizona for the winter. I go to Quartzsite and enjoy massive relief from my arthritus! I don't know if it's the extremely dry air or the warm weather or what but it works! Plus u get to experience the Gem n Lapidary Club! Thanks, Orrum. Yes, after my old man retires we may head West. If the kids will let us go! LOL! I now it probably won't get any better for me here. Glad you can travel in winter for it.

That's really nice, Tela. I shouldn't even be posting a pic of these ones, as they weren't intended to be my official wrap for this challenge, but the colors of the stones and the wire just remind me of fall, so I'll share them just for the "October/Fall" spirit. They're not even perfect - I was testing out some designs on these and was going to just unwrap them and do them over. But instead here they are.

Awesome! I love them! Great control and use of the curls. I especially like the second one, but both are very nice. I see why they remind you of Fall. I can see those colors in my yard. So, is that copper or is it bronze? It doesn't look as coppery as copper usually looks. Do you ever use a patina? Just wondering because I think a patina really brings out the details in work- especially curls and such. Sorry so may questions. Just curious.
Thanks for posting!! Hopefully we'll see a few more in the next week.

Here is my wrap for the challenge. Another view I could not find a cab that had the fall colors I wanted so I used a tumbled stone that someone gave me a while back. I don't know what it is but I think it is a piece of some kind of quartz. It is wrapped with copper wire and embellished with glass beads. I tried to make the main wrap look leafy by adding the extra wire to simulate the veins in the leaf. I call the wrap "falling leaves". I wanted to add patina to it but I can't find my LOS right now. It's probably hiding in plain sight considering all the moving I've done lately. I figured I'd better get this posted before October ends. I'm not sure if I like it but I did try to do something different wrapping wise. Maybe I'll like it better if and when I do the patina. Thanks for the challenge rockjunquie.

I wanted to comment as soon as I saw your piece drocknut, but I wanted to give the thread some time without my name at the top! LOL! I LOVE YOUR LEAF! Now, if that ain't fall, then I don't know what is. I really like how you did the veins and you have some interesting beads in there, too. I'm sorry you aren't crazy about it, but I think it is really cool. I think a patina will probably bring you around. Thank you so much for posting and joining in!

Thanks to both of you. The beads were bought a while ago but I don't know why, maybe I had a project in mind at the time. I'm glad I could put them to use finally.

OK folks, I know I haven't been very active, my plate is overflowing, but I thought I would do this little challenge. So here it is; A piece of Graveyard Plume Agate that I cabbed myself and wrapped in twisted gold wire. I think it looks like fall because of the greens, yellows and reds in the plumes. Thanks for looking, Tammy

Nice!!! So happy to see some gold representin'- it is such a Fall metal. Yup, the colors are very Fall and the piece is very pretty. Thank you for finding the time to participate, TByrd.

Just finished this up today! Well, not quite, needs some tweaking, tool mark and dent removal, cleaning, etc.
What the heck was I thinking? I haven't wrapped in over two years, use a stone that is not flat (ever wrap a potato chip?), and in gold. mrrockpicker liked it!
The stone is a piece of tumbled, petrified, botryoidal, coral from jamesp , set in 14K goldfilled.
Just snapped off a few pics before it gets dark. Will try to take some better ones in the sunshine tomorrow.
Hey, we still have one more day, right? Oh, and this reminds me of fall here in SoCal. Some fall colors, and the swirls remind me of a cornucopia (Horn of Plenty). Kinda?

Yay! Jean, glad you could make it! Yes, I see some Fall colors and the abstract cornucopia! Sweet! And, jamesp's coral is very nice, too. I love the wrap- full of movement. Thanks so much for playing along.

A lowly tumble in Jean's fine garnish. You have surrounded my frog with lovely maidens rockpickerforever. James, your tumbled botryoidal coral is NOT a frog! The stone makes the pendant. I could've wrapped it in old time Christmas tree tinsel, and it still would shine. Thank you again for the red mud encased gifts, that one in particular fit the bill perfectly! Without having that to use, would probably not have done a wrap at this time. I just don't have anything that compares.
