Finally getting to the point of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Picked up this piece again after near 6 months And a little more work last weekend (Sun-Tue). So hopefully I can continue with second arm upper-body and head this weekend after sanding out what I had, since Wednesday. Now naturally, some of you might be asking why I keep with this piece for nearly two years, since deciding what I wanted for it. Here is a hint what I see with a little light coming from the back (mirror surface). Thanks for looking, Kurt

Thank you all for the kind comments. Best carvings? I sure hope not. There are some fantastic artists out there with incredible talent; as long as they are there, there is always someone to aspire and improve towards to. While still a far way from lofty goals, I certainly hope never to reach the top. Reaching a target is satisfying, but not for long.... By the end, its the journey that makes it all worthwhile!

Will discontinue this post, and start a new one in a week or so under "Two Old Companions" First because the face did not work out the way I envisioned, and second: after I found old pictures, I will be able to summarize in one post the 2 year journey of this piece with all its crazy twists and turns.
