I found this in the bargain pile of my local rock shop, one rock, has tiny fractures throughout that twinkle in the light. Not a great rock for cabs, but thought it would make neat beads, so I went to work. It was fun to work, though I lost a couple of preforms due to more serious fractures.

I couldn't capture the colors in the photos, each one has is yellow fading to white. I plan to string it with gold filled hardware and gold beads as spacers

Dave, Yes, this is all ground freehand. Each one like a simple mini carving. I try to get the shapes uniform, but if you look, you can easily find some irregularities.
