Hi, I have an older lortone 12" saw. Recently the all thread rod that is powered by the gear box motor isn't pushing/spinning enough to pass the rock thru the blade. I have a fairly new gear box motor on it but it seems like it's only rotating to the right and then only coming back about 1/4 way to the left. It holds to the right for longer than it should. Should the motor be replaced again or is it because maybe the motor shaft isn't tight with the all thread? I really hope this makes sense to somebody lol, I am not very good at fixing these types of things. I appreciate any possible solutions. Thanks!

There should be a coupling between the motor and the all thread, it may be loose. Not sure if it has set screws or want. If the all thread is turning, the half nut may be worn too much.
Lortone does have a good parts page showing the parts breakdown. Where in Oregon are you? Ilive near Banks, west of Portland.

Hi Woodman, yes there are 2 set screws and the the motor definitely doesn't sit tight in the coupling. It wiggles very easily and doesn't feel secure at all. I'm in central Oregon. Thanks so much for your reply!

Thanks so much for your reply! I would tighten up the set screw. My 10 lortone has allen head set screws. Wife and I went over to Richardson Ranch a few weeks ago and got a lot of thundereggs and have been cutting some of the smaller ones on my ten inch and the larger ones on my Old Lortone 18 inch saw. I don't know what is more fun, the digging or the cutting and polishing. Good luck with your saw.
