The first looks like purple jasper agate from Earp Ca.

Hmmm... thanks cowboy but I think the reds look too thick in the Earp material. The reds are very thin and whispy like a moss in this stuff. It's too big for my 18" saw but if I can figure out how to cut it I'll post more pictures.

Oh ok Tommy. The Earp stuff is more purple than red too.

Tommy, Might be a monster hunk from Horse Canyon as there is red moss there too. Also could be from the north Cadys or Rio grande gravels but you know, moss comes from so many areas. Second is orbicular rhyolite. It often has a lot of included agate. Were it not for the color, I'd guess Naches, Washington material but green and white are the dominant colors there....Mel

#1 looks to me like Agate from Durango, Mexico. Some of the purple moss from India is very similar too.

I managed to break off a chunk that would fit in my saw so I'll post some slab pictures soon. It really doesn't look very purple in person - it's more red moss in a mostly white background.

This is a slab I cut from it. I think it looks exactly the same as the outside looked haha. It's hard to photograph - looks a little too much on the muddy side.

I had a little piece that looks like that, it was jockey's blood agate, if I remember right.
