I didn't see a post here but I wanted to let people know that John Sands has passed away, he was known here as Sandsman1. I got to know John here and on FB and we had the same home town. He is best known here for his cabojohn, cabochons with flats like a faceted stone, and for being one of the moderators of the board. John was outspoken, head strong and funny and I know he connected with a lot of people here over the years. He will be missed.

Sorry to hear that ! I got to know him when we went to Burro Creek a few years ago ---he was having back pain and stayed in camp most of the time, so I stayed with him just to hear him tell stories of his earlier days ----and what stories they were !!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be missed !!
