"2000 balls a month"?
Uh..... Yeah.
3 per hour, every hour, 30 days a month, 24 hours a day.

It's in China, I'm sure 3 work shifts isn't a problem. They probably do go 24/7
Diggin' those big hydraulic units. Wonder how well those smaller Highland Park machines are made.
ETA: wish I had the room for a sphere machine or two. *sigh*

You know it's not the whole operation! That's just what he was willing to share. When he's showing the bits he even mentions that it's not all the bits he has. Probably just some of the HP machines to say "hey this is what we use for our spheres, here buy some from us"

John Rowland, the guy who bought up all the US made gearmotors from the surplus places so folks can't make their own machines easily, then puts crappy garbage Chinese motors on the machines he sells. Puts the Highland park name on cheap chinese machines made by slave labor, and claims to be doing a service for lapidary people.

Neat video. Thx for sharing. Envious of the relative silence of the hydraulic system compared to electrics on everything, but can you imagine the mess in the hydraulic room when a line breaks?
Any guess what the adhesive is gluing that large rock to the base for the large sphere? Looks like some kind of putty or clay.

Looks like they built the shop in a house. The hydraulic system looks like the cat's meow.

Rockoonz its a shame for us, but smart for a business person in some aspect Short term strategy, perhaps. Long term? Time will tell. My personal observation is he has built a house of cards. One financial stream fails it all comes down. I've been wrong before. We will see.
