What an awesome rock hobby forum and web site ! I have been an active member of the Cowichan Valley Rockhound group for the past 2 years. Having renewed this hobby in retirement from my youth, how things have changed but remain the same. Just finished rebuilding/repairing a 40 year old 12 lb. Tumbler , many thanks for the information found on this site. Pictures of a large Laurlstone bowl I created along with recent lapidary works , will post soon. Thanks again............. Gary

Welcome to RTH. You are in a great area for some very nice stones. Was just up in BC not too long ago. Mainly found a lot of jade.

Welcome to the forum. We have a member that used to live in your area that exposed us all to Dallasite. He posted of the many rocks he was able to find on your beaches.
Sounds like you are in a good place to be in the rock tumbling hobby!
