That was some serious red polish Jimi. Congrats on the Vibrasonic that you stole. I would have to roll those botswanas till rounded in the rotary. Make sure you fill the vibrasonic hopper to an inch or so from the top. It is designed to be run with a close to full hopper. quartz, Jimi got two hoppers with his purchase. Lucky as a dog with two tails. By the way Jimi, that tumbler will put the shine on Labradolite when doing a dry polish w/corn cob media. All felspars.

You got two hoppers w/base !!! Both are 14#? Makes my pocket book hurt, had to work a bunch and get long deal on one 14# to replace 2 6 pounders that were on the one we got. Very fortunate to get handed "leavings" like that.

Nice, Jimi!!! Nice bonus with the rocks!!! Got anything to load that big vibe up with? You need to go back and load that log you were sitting on up and carry it home...that'll keep you going for a month or two.<grin> Congrats!!!!!!!

Was originally mucho higher my friend (after the second barrel was found). Anything I ever see listed on CL or online locally the prices are always not favorable (in Alabama anyway). Intheswamp remember I still have that last haul to tumble. Have them all sorted too (reds and then everything else. Lol). Belts are in and will show video of them going later tonight. Big piece way too big for me to carry. Must have strength like hulk to carry

Well, that just about shot the idea of a homebuilt rotary in the head. That's a really nice size, and TWO barrels....should handle quiet a volume and quickly!!! But, Jimi, I've got confidence in you...just remember to eat a half bowl extra of Wheaties before you go it that big'un!!! Maybe carry a can of spinach with you, too! I'm glad you got the tumbler, you're one person I know will put it to good use. And, I've gotta agree with you about the Craigslist remark...I've yet to see a really good deal on anything rock related...matter of fact, very little equipment even listed in my area....of course, living in the land of mud and muck there's probably not a lot of rock hunting going on.<sigh>

That looks like great progress for 14 hours! Jimi, I think there is a chance of that tumbler creating too much friction between the rocks and catching on fire. You should unplug it immediately, pack it well in a heavy corrugated box (with appropriate packing material, of course) and send it to me for proper disposal!!!!! I wouldn't do this for just anyone, ya know!!! ...oh, the sacrifices we make for friends!!!!!!
