UPDATE Any birthday present will do. Why be so limiting? Thanks to everyone for joining in the October challenge. I know this is the busy season for everyone and don't expect a lot of people to play in the November challenge, but I'll put this out there for anyone interested. My birthday is in November and with Christmas coming, too, I am challenging myself to make something expressly for me. It occurred to me the other day, that I never make jewelry for myself. It will be a huge challenge for me, actually. I give away so much and sell what's left. I have a beautiful, large opal that I have been wanting to finish. Maybe I'll do that. Soooooo, if you want to join in, be nice to yourself and make something for your own heart's content.

My birthday is in November too so I'll give it a go. Don't have a clue what I'll wrap but I do have a few cabs that I set aside because I want to keep them.

I hope a few more people want to do this this month. It will further encourage me because, as it stands right now, I'm having a hard time getting myself moving on this. If it was an order or a birthday, I'd be right on it!!! LOL!

Well I don't wear bling but my bro-in-law has a b-day on the 19th and I'm thinking about putting one together for him. Would that qualify?

..."be nice to yourself and make something for your own heart's content." I made this pendent specifically for my wife; which I think hits "being nice to myself" and that I made "something for my hearts content" This pendent is from some Gaspeite that rockjunquie sent me. I wrapped it in 22ga Argentium and used 6mm Chrysocolla beads with 3mm and 2.5mm Sterling Silver beads. It is the first time I have ever tried to use beads and I am not sure about them..I wanted the beads to be able to swing. They do, but I think I can figure out a better way to connect them. My wife seemed to really like it a lot but I am on the fence. I would love some tips or suggestions for the beading.

Roger, That is so nice!!! I love the little curly cue you put on it. And, I think you did a great job with the beads. I especially like the color. If I may, I might suggest a smaller main bead size next time. I bet that is what is throwing you off on them. It's the scale. Not to say it doesn't look good as is, because it does. I can't tell by the picture how you actually put it together, so I can't comment on the construction, but it looks pretty much seamless, which is what you want. Thank you so much for joining in!! A wife's birthday bling certainly counts for this. I'm sure she will wear it with pride.

I've got 2 weeks or so left...... I really need to get thinking about this project. I think I'll be adding some pearls to my wrap. And, I'm pretty sure it will be 14kgf. That's about all I have figured out, yet.

Geez only two weeks left, time flies doesn't it. I haven't even thought about wrapping so you're way ahead of me Tela.

Here goes nothing. This is a gift to myself because I love Biggs Jasper. URL=http://s1217.photobucket.com/user/Tammy_Byrd/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-11/20151112_194614.jpg.html] [/URL]

This is BEAUTIFUL, Tammy! I had to fix the picture so we could see it better. I hope you don't mind. I love the cabs, but I love the wrap, too. Double wraps are difficult to do and to have them look right. Yours looks great! Thanks for posting. I know you will enjoy your new gift.

That piece is cool Tammy. Ive never even attempted a double wrap so I'm impressed at yours. I love Biggs too although I'm more partial to the blue biggs or Deschutes.

Here is a crazy lace that I got from Chuck - Drummond Island Rocks. I think the copper pulls the red out of the stone and I think it's a good November/Fall color scheme. I'm still practicing so I am zipping through some wraps without thinking much about beads or any other embellishment that you all are doing so nicely. I just realized we can attach pics without Photobucket! But my pic was too large and I had already got the link for it from photo bucket, so here it is. Maybe I'll edit it later. Also, nice work Roger and Tammy! Happy Birthday to all you Scorpios and Sagittarians
