This is only my second attempt at doing earrings but I would like to make a few more sets like this with different materials to shake things up on my etsy store a little. I really don't think fordite can be matched any closer in pattern then this for a set. I was pretty excited with the outcome I also did this one with a swivel bail just to see if it spikes interest too. Got a new toy this week so I am taking some time off from rocks to learn how to use it. It's been awhile since I have had a good DSLR so I may have some questions specifically related to jewelry/rock photography. Canon 60D with 18-135 lens. Chuck

Very nice job of the matching on the earrings. I made the mistake of sharing the photo with my wife, and now she wants to know why "I" can't do that? I did not even try and give her a reasonable answer...

Hiya Chuck! I think these are awesome!!! I love the match and everything else about them.
Are you having fun with your new toy yet, or, are you going bald from pulling your hair out?? It was a toss up with me. I lost some hair, but I got it in the end.... I think.
edit- I just got a new toy, too. I got a nice galaxy tablet to play with- have to learn all the touch screen stuff. It's all new to me since I don't have a smart phone.... or any cell phone.

Thanks rockjunquie - I have taken the new camera on a couple hikes and getting great landscape and nature shots is a piece of cake. Jewelry on the other hand is going slow. I'll figure it out its just going to take some time. I have a good 18-135 lens on there but I am thinking a dedicated macro lens would be better for the close ups. Good luck with you new tablet. Now you might have to get a smart phone too. Chuck

I bought my 60D used on ebay and I really like it so far. It was an easy choice for me because my son uses the exact camera taking photos for yearbook at his high school. He brings it home after sporting events so I have been able to check out the quality of the photos before I took the plunge. Chuck
