OK just to show you folks how almost anything from West Texas or Mexico can show up in the Rio Grande gravels, here's a cut from yesterdays soak. When this first showed up on the market, dealers named this "Palm Jasper" from Mexico. I still have some hunks from that first appearance at Quartzite. Actually, it's a very fine form of a kind of lattice sagenite. Anyway, a darn pretty material. Only got the one really nice cut from the piece but it's a doozy. Here's a pic....Mel

That IS a good'un!! Shouldn't you be selling these Rios for the Pebble Pups instead of cutting them all open? Reminds me of the year we let fat ol Aunt Martha hand out the Halloween candy at the door. Poor neighborhood children, we had to turn off the lights and close the door when we ran out of candy before it was even dark outside! *sniffle* disclaimer: I don't actually have an Aunt Martha. Fat or otherwise
Cut on! Love seeing all your variety!

Bob, Dude!!! The deal is I pay all the shipping costs and take care of sales and packing etc for the kiddoes and for that get a cut of the small agates that will fit my ten inch saw. *L* Win win situation all around. The cool thing is, I've never ever gotten to see so many Rios in one place and am seeing stuff I never even new existed in those gravel beds. Got another fully agatized coquina shell rock ready to go into the saw soon. Shell rock turned to agate similar to flower garden plume. Never even heard of such a thing till I started cutting this stuff just like I never even new there was Rio Grande poppy jasper or Rio grande Ocean Jasper lookalikes....Mel

I love sagenite! It always looks so happy. I've never seen it in those colors. Thanks for showing it.
