Just thought another "whats tumbling" post was in order. What have you got on the go at the mo. Heres mine. 1. TigerEye - looking good - lost a lot of material on the 80 and down to about 15 bits now. Rubber strips superglued on the inside of the barrel are hopefully ensuring that they get an even rub down. In 600 now. 2. Blue Lace Agate - the missus demanded I knock some of this out for her, theres a good range of shades in there and some good stripes too. Looking forward to this coming out. In 80 at the moment. 3. Rocks from Doc - i've two barrels going on this stuff. Totally proud to have been sent it from the US. When I smashed it up, I ended up with a lot of very angular pieces and deep chipped aswell unfortunately. With this in mind I had to give them hell at 80 to get some nice shapes. Both types of rock (what was it? Carnelian / agates? Doc?) are in 220 now as of yesterday. 4. Green and Blue Aventurine. Mom came home from holidays in Malta last week and she brought back with her a 3 inch (or so) long piece of Green for me to tumble. Obviously I can't stick it in a barrel on its own, so I got some Blue Aventurine to pop in there with it. (This way I get to know her rock from the rest) - thats at 80. 5. Brazilian Agate. This stuff is hard - very hard - it came in 3 nodules of fist size which I broke down. Ive got it now though at 220 after spending a fortune on the 80 grind to shape it. Its brown which isnt my favourite colour but there are some pieces with good stripes in them. Looking forward to sticking some pics of those up. Well - thats my lot at the mo. Can't wait to get the camera out on these. Also - looking into doing a bit of jewelry for the first time. Chop chop busy busy whop whop bang bang.

Hi Andy, You are too funny. Maybe because I'm american and always loved Montey Python's Flying cir-Cus. "And now for something completely different:" I finally got my hands on some beauiful (I think) crazy lace agate and moss agate. This is only my third try and I'm bound and determined to do it right. I've never seen, on these posts, agate with as much color as these. It's from a local place that just wants to do business. It's exciting, knowing the potential of these stones. even raw and wet they are great. I'm in 80 now for only 3 days and the wait will be hard, but... I'm going to do right by these stones no matter what it takes! good luck to you, cookie

Never was a big Monty Python fan, but I loved Fawlty Towers. First time I saw it I nearly choked from laughing so hard. Everyonce and a while they will run some episodes on PBS. Wish I could remember far enough in advance to set the VCR to record them. John Cleese is just too funny.

3-lb- Amethyst and rose quartz in polish. These should be done in a couple days.
3-lb- Apache Tears. These are in 600 and doing well.
1.5-lb- Ruby and Sapphire still in course.
1.5-lb- driveway rock in 1000. These are going to be really pretty when they are done.
1.5-lb- Citrine. Ran moonstone in course but we pulled it after the first week of course to do some shaping. Started the citrine on course after that.

No no - Sandsman - its Mr Creosote in "The Meaning of Life" - youve got to see it to believe.
Theres these goldfish in a tank (in a restaurant) going from one end to the other, and each time they pass each other they say "Morning" - like they just got up and have no memory. A total killer for certain.
Then - totally out of the blue - one of the fish goes "OH NO - ITS MR CREOSOTE" and they all hide - in comes this big 25 stone guy and John Cleese is the waiter - oh my god i'm falling off the chair laughing as i'm writing.
It all ends with the big guy exploding as he ate too much food - and John Cleese - the classic line....
"It's just a waffa thin mint".....
Before legging it over the in-house false plants and ducking before the explosion.
Monty Python - The Meaning of Life.
If you want a good laugh - check it over and some.
Andy.

Sands - yes - that scene where theres a knight who won't let them pass - the geezers had his limbs cut right off and hes yapping "Come back here you cowards" - "I havent finished with you yet!!!" Classic - total classic - again - falling off my chair writing. Hey - remember the one where they have to cross a bridge? They have to answer a question about a swallow? And they return the question and the guard gets slung out? LOL. Wish I had that video now to watch - "Tis but a Scratch!!"

"It's only a flesh wound" He has no arms or legs. Yes, I've seen life of Bryan. Is that the one were the women with about 100 kids is washing dishes and a baby just drops out of her? "will you get that dear." We actually have a BBC channel here. "are you being served?" is still my favorite.
