Hey, I see a few Michigan rocks in there. How did that gowganda tillite polish up? I tried to tumble that before and the black stuff turned out horrible. Yours looks pretty good.

It usually tumbles like pudding stone in my opinion. That means over tumbling is a bad thing. I broke my own rule last week and left a batch of pudding stone in polish for three days and every piece had to go all the way back to 46/70. Chuck

I see some southern fried goodies in there too. My favorite is the black vomitstone pebble. Looks like some rhyolite got polished too. It gives me a hard time to wet polish.

Stuff looks GREAT! I too use a loto to polish but I think my tendency to polish large pieces tends to hurt results. Gotta use more smalls!

Thought you might recognize a few of those. Still find some of your coral stashed away every now and then. The shine on that stuff never disappoints. Chuck

Chuck Coral always earlier in the mix to get the ole shine in the polish process. But last to shape in the coarse stage.

I just finished up some more small pudding stones for beads, mixed with a few larger ones to fill space. I ran them for two days in 220, and then one day in 500, 1000 and polish. Usually I run them longer. They turned out pretty good. Is that about how long you run them?

Andrea ahh that one looks more like black with yellow spots in person. still trying to figure out a lot of settings on the new camera. That one is a Michigan beach rock and my best guess would be basalt with spots of quartz. Chuck
