Seems I never get off "first base" when it comes to cabbing equipment! Last December I bought a nicely refurbished and upgraded old Lortone 2 wheel unit with 2 8" wheels -2 diamond 220 (I think), the other an expando drum, set it all up in the garage hoping hubbie would become my own personal lapidary so I could just keep on wire wrapping! Long story short, I'm getting ready to resell it virtually unused (by us) in favor of a small, indoor table-top such as a Pixie or Genie type, for convenience sake. Sigh. Anyway, has anybody here seen, heard of or used one of these Chinese made and sold Genie "wannabe" units? Opinions as to it it's a good buy, or buyer beware? www.ebay.com/itm/6-220V-Cabbing-Cabochon-Maker-Lapidary-Jewelry-Gemstone-Grinder-Polisher-/281777057225?hash=item419b38adc9:g:7JEAAOSwA4dWF9fq

First of all, beware of any Chinese knockoffs. They are usually very cheaply made.
Second, read the add carefully. That is a 220 volt, 50 cycle machine. It won't work on U.S. current.
If it were me, I'd save a bit more money and buy a Genie, or one of those machines from Kingsley North. They both get good reviews on here regularly.

Thank you, EVERYONE for saving a gullible (one upon a time blonde) from making a foolish purchase! I'll just save $$ and get the right one!
