The people across the road growing up had one about that size in their back 40.
There were some really huge ones back in behind the old gas station/store a couple miles down from Spirit Lake, Mt St Helens took them out.

Come cut our southern pines that grow out in 20 years for lumber. Like a crop of corn. Gnarly bark on that rascal. It is woodman's tree, better ask if it is petrified... Maybe the tractor is a Matchbox ?

It does make the tractor look like a matchbox toy. We have about 20 of them this size and have no plans to ever cut them, at least as long as I live. Would be hard to find a mill that could handle them anymore. This one is just a bit under 5 feet at chest height. Hard but not petrified, I don't think!! Would have to get a bigger drag saw if it was petrified.

We got 10 acres. Had 5 and the 5 with the trees came on the market and we bought it to keep someone from falling the trees and planting a house right next to us. I had a verbal agreement with the late owner of a first refusal offer, and his son honored it and we could not pass it up.
