And the box: Got a few of these blades tossed into a deal (last year?) when I went 4hrs out of my way on a 6hr (one way) trip to get my HP machine for $75. I love this blade. The only thing I've had to compare it to was a Covington Gold (boo, I know). This thing cut like butter straight out of the box. Has anyone here tried this blade? Only place I've found so far is fleeBay and it's a 10" for $179. I need a 6"

Yes I've used Vanguard lapidary blades in the past and agree they were great blades. They stopped selling them under their own name quite some time ago but continued to make them to be sold under the Raytech Blazer Blade trade name for several years. But I think that now all of the Raytech Blazer Blades are made in S. Korea. Vanguard was either acquired by or merged with Husqvarna and still makes diamond blades for the construction industry but unfortunately I don't think they make lapidary blades anymore. Larry C.
