Went to broseph82's spot this time. Intheswamp Ed met us there. Had a great time. Tight grained quartzite/quartz. Mostly chipped off cobbles, sampling. Deserves to be sawn. Cobbles often deceptive, boring rind color, wild guts Very fine grained quartzite Salmon quartz, bad focus quartz da batch, for tumbling

Where do those glasses fit on the Mohs scale? I didn't think of it at the time, Jim, but...the decomposing body of the eyeglass owner might've been somewhere downwind. ...the good point being that it would've been downwind!!!! <grin>

should be a great tumble. looking forward to seeing it. Nice looking material. Chuck If I frost it I may send you some Chuck. If you want a bit let me know, got some extras. It was a lot of work busting mostly white cobbles to find the ones with fine colors. The salmon color is very easy to find though. If you were to cut sections out of some of it surgically the end result would be awesome. Some has the finest grained quartzite I have ever seen. Lots fracture free. Make an unusual cab.

Nice haul! Noticed it was awfully quiet around here this weekend.
Here I was thinkin' that a fence would be a good idea - to keep 'em in!! Can ya imagine what that would do to the breeding stock there?
*shudder*

Can ya imagine what that would do to the breeding stock there? *shudder* I asked Ed if I could cut loose on Georgia 'sayings' about Alabama. Alabama sincerely loved. Most of such sayings are related to breed stock, or lack thereof LOL. All due respect was route taken. Lots of football fans scattered about, had to behave. Man do those folks get into the Alabama/Auburn rivalry. We were only a few miles from Auburn. Dare ya to sail an Alabama flag in Tuskegee. No telling what colors in the quartz in that area.
