Another Northern MN auction, Beaver Bay rockshop in Two Harbors Mn has a few auctions a year. They are done by Auction Masters in Osseo. I believe pick up is in Two Harbors but they do mail. I am not a big fan of Beaver Bay rock shop, I went to pick up my "Laboradorite with great flash" a few years ago and it turned out to be a piece of counter top with no flash. The owner said to bad for you. I left the slab with him along with my 40 bucks. Last thing I ever bid on from his autions or will buy from him. To be fair though he does have a super display of Lakers at his shop and does have some great rocks.....but not for me. www.auctionmasters.com/cgi-bin/mndetails.cgi?amasters9

So . . . you advertise his activity so you can bad mouth it. Why not wait for someone else to advocate the event and add your opinion if appropriate? I've got a good used car for sale and never abused by previous owner. Tom

Looks like 966 items listed and all have bids. Seems like a great way to get rid of a collection.
lortone single barrel 3A is already at $59 and the lortone double barrel 3B is already at $95. I have done much better on ebay for both in the past.

There are plenty of people who have bought items from his auctions or his shop that love the experience and material they purchaced or he wouldn't be in business for so long. I know some of them personally because I live in this area, his reviews on line are 4 and 5 star.

I would assume that if the OP was screwed by the auction, as he apparently was, there would be no problem with this post. And the owner would make good on his sale.

Wish I were close enough to pick up, looks like some folks got some great deals. I would guess if they had been willing to ship many items would have gone for a lot more. toiv0 there is a forum for rating sellers, I suggest you use it in the future.

I purchased a few lots, all as advertised and just as pictured. Had a great conversation and took a tour through his workshop. I would highly recommend his store to anyone. And the scenic drive to get there would be worth an additional thousand miles just to see it. Stopped on the way home and picked a few small agates at a beach not far from his shop.
